As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have reached a verbal agreement with FC Köln’s Jonas Urbig.

However, with the backup goalkeeper now sidelined for several weeks with a kidney injury, Bayern now wants Urbig in immediately to be Manuel Neuer’s apprentice.

Bayern have already agreed upon personal terms with the youngster and are now in direct conversation with FC Köln.

Jonas Urbig is currently contracted at FC Köln until 2026 and has a market value of €3m as per TransferMarkt. However, Köln will likely want more than €3m for the promising youngster.

The 21-year-old has played 11 times for the Billygoats this campaign and has kept two clean sheets. So far this season, Urbig has played as a backup to Marvin Schwäbe (29).
