Ismael Saibari was officially unveiled as a new Bayern Munich player on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Morocco international has completed a move from PSV, signing a contract with the German champions until 2031. According to reports, the transfer is worth around €55 million, making it one of the biggest sales in the Dutch club's history.
Developed in Belgian football, Saibari came through the youth academies of Anderlecht and Genk before joining PSV ahead of the 2020/21 season in a deal worth approximately €200,000. During his debut campaign in Eindhoven, he divided his time between the reserve side and the first team, making two senior appearances.
He spent the 2021/22 season exclusively with Jong PSV before breaking into the first team the following year, featuring 28 times across all competitions. Over the next three seasons, Saibari established himself as one of PSV's most influential players and a key figure in the club's domestic success.
Across six seasons with PSV's first team, the attacking midfielder made 142 appearances, scoring 42 goals and providing 31 assists. He leaves the club having won three Eredivisie titles, two KNVB Cups and three Johan Cruyff Shields.
Currently away with Morocco at the World Cup, where he has impressed with a series of standout performances and goals, Saibari will report to Bayern Munich after the tournament concludes to begin the next chapter of his career.
