Barcelona are gearing up for perhaps their biggest test under Hansi Flick as they take on Bayern Munich at Montjuic on Wednesday.

Although Barça have the home advantage and are coming on the back of terrific form in the league, their chequered past against the mighty Bavarians will continue to terrorise them and cause anxiety ahead of Wednesday’s battle.

Bayern Munich themselves are aware of the fact that Barcelona will be anxious and tense heading into this fixture, which is why the club have decided to raise the stakes further.

Just a day before the encounter at Montjuic, Bayern Munich, through their social media accounts, have shared a compilation video.

The video captures all of Bayern’s goals against Barcelona away from home from the past three encounters, starting from the 2012/13 season, when the Bavarians netted three goals at Camp Nou in the Champions League semifinals, to secure a whopping 7-0 aggregate win.

The second win came during the group stage of the 2021/22 campaign, where Bayern Munich once again secured a 3-0 victory, with Robert Lewandowski scoring a brace.

A year later, in the 2022/23 season, Barcelona suffered yet another 3-0 victory at the hands of Bayern. This time around, the Catalans even had Lewandowski representing them instead of the opposition.

The video posted by Bayern is clearly aimed to cause further anxiety to the Barcelona players heading into Wednesday’s encounter.

However, the dynamics of this tie are going to be far different from earlier matches, particularly because of one man: Hansi Flick.

Flick was the Bayern coach who had famously guided the Bavarians to an 8-2 victory over Barça in the Champions League. Now it is time for the German to inflict the pain on his former employers.
