Sky Germany reports that David Santos Daiber is close to agreeing a contract extension with Bayern Munich, which would be the 19-year-old's first full senior deal.

Talks are at an advanced stage. The midfielder trains regularly under Vincent Kompany and made his debut in the 4-0 win over 1.FC Heidenheim in December.

He added another appearance in the 4-1 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach at the start of March.

The Portuguese youngster is currently sidelined with a muscle injury and aims to establish himself at Bayern in the long term.

A loan next season could be sought to build experience, with a summer move a possibility.
