Bayern Munich host Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena on Friday, seeking to extend their unbeaten start and knowing victory would take the reigning champions to the top of the Bundesliga.

At Waldstadion Kaiserlinde, Lennart Karl put Bayern ahead before half-time, and ex-Bayern player Maurice Krattenmacher levelled early in the second half. Harry Kane settled it with a fine 72nd-minute finish, his first Bundesliga goal of the season.

Bayern beat Union 4-0 in their last Allianz Arena meeting in March, and have won the previous five Bundesliga home games against them without conceding, scoring at least three in four. Union have never beaten Bayern in 15 competitive meetings, W10, D5.

Mauro Lustrinelli’s Union have one point from three, drawing 3-3 with Eintracht Frankfurt then losing 4-0 at Bayer Leverkusen and 3-1 to Schalke. Tim Skarke scored in the 96th minute, but Maximilian Wöber added a 13th-minute stoppage-time goal, leaving Union in the relegation play-off spot.

Serge Gnabry could make his first appearance of the season after returning to the squad at Elversberg. The visitors are without Stanley Nsoki, Marvin Friedrich, Josip Juranović, Andrik Markgraf, Andrej Ilić and Oliver Burke, while Kastriot Imeri is a late decision for inclusion.
