Bayern: Nicolas Jackson will not stay

On loan from Chelsea this season, Nicolas Jackson will not fulfill the condition that would have triggered a mandatory purchase.

For the deal to become automatic, he needed to play 40 full matches or at least 45 minutes in each, which is now impossible. When the loan was signed, this clause already seemed unrealistic. Uli Hoeness, Bayern's honorary president, summed it up: "It only gets paid if he plays 40 full games – that's not possible."

Nevertheless, Jackson could still remain in Munich if Bayern exercises the €65 million buy option or through a new agreement with Chelsea. But so far, his limited role this season does not offer much hope for a permanent transfer.
