The young centre-back has also been offered to Bayern via his agent, and while the German giants do want to sign him immediately, they will continue to monitor his progress.

Vuskovic jas made 14 starts in the Bundesliga this season, scoring three goals.

The young defender was superb in Hamburg’s 2-1 loss to Freiburg, scoring one goal. He is seen as one of the top talents in the Bundesliga, and Spurs will be delighted by his progress.

Bayern’s defensive situation

The Bavarian giants are close to securing the contract extension of Dayot Upamecano, who will become a free agent at the end of the season.

The French defender has been outstanding for the club this season, and several heavyweight clubs, including PSG and Real Madrid, have been interested in signing him.

After prolonged negotiation between all parties, Bayern have agreed terms with Upamecano, and the announcement will come shortly.

Apart from Upamecano, Bayern have Kim Min-jae, Jonathan Tah, and Hiroki Ito as other centre-back options.

On top of that, the German champions are still interested in signing Marc Guehi next summer on loan, but any potential move will depend on whether Min-jae leaves.

Moreover, they plan to sign Givairo Read next summer and could use Josip Stanisic more as a centre-back next season.

Therefore, Bayern should not burden themselves by making a move for Vuskovic as yet, but as always, they could just keep their eyes open on his progress.

Vuskovic, meanwhile, has been vocal about staying at Hamburger, but the final decision will rest with Tottenham.
