Michael Olise isn’t just making a name for himself at the World Cup—he’s also causing quite a stir on the transfer market. According to recent reports, the Bayern star is one of the most sought-after players in Europe.

Michael Olise has long been one of the faces of the French national team. With his strong performances at the World Cup, the FC Bayern attacking midfielder has further increased his already high standing on the international transfer market.

As RMC Sport reports, numerous top European clubs have been closely monitoring the 24-year-old’s progress for months. Olise was reportedly already among the most closely watched players in Europe back in the spring. That has not changed to this day.

Real Madrid remains the most interested club

Real Madrid, in particular, continues to be linked with the Frenchman. According to information from RMC Sport, however, the club currently has no concrete plans for a move this summer. According to the report, that could only change if Olise himself were open to a transfer in principle.

Of particular interest: According to RMC Sport, a meeting between the club and the player is scheduled for after the World Cup. Afterward, there should be clarity on how Olise plans his athletic future.

FC Bayern is pursuing a clear strategy: The Munich-based club wants to extend his contract, which runs through 2029, as soon as possible and secure the attacking player’s long-term commitment to the club.

Paris Saint-Germain has also revisited the Olise situation. According to RMC Sport, however, this remained at the stage of internal discussions. There were no concrete transfer talks or negotiations.

Will Bayern have second thoughts about the record offer?

One thing is clear: The Munich club is not currently considering selling its star attacker.

According to RMC Sport, only an absolute record-breaking offer would be enough to even make FC Bayern give it some thought. According to the report, an offer of well over 200 million euros could change the situation.

At the moment, however, there are no signs whatsoever that the record champions are willing to budge from their stance.

RMC Sport also puts reports of Kylian Mbappé’s alleged efforts to persuade teammates within the French national team into perspective. According to the report, while Olise gets along well with all his teammates, he hardly ever discusses his future with them. The Real Madrid players on the French team are also said to be deliberately avoiding the topic.

That’s why Olise is so sought after

The Bayern Munich player’s exceptional appeal lies above all in his well-rounded skill set. Olise combines speed, dribbling ability, and exceptional technique with a game intelligence that is rarely found in top-level European soccer these days. Added to this is his ability to control the pace of the game, identify open spaces, and make precise decisions throughout the entire match despite high intensity.

Physically, too, the former Crystal Palace pro has taken the next step and can now consistently perform at the highest level.

Olise has also received high praise from Thierry Henry. The French World Cup champion recently even described the Bayern star as the “most important player on the French national team.”

With his performances at the World Cup, Olise is currently impressively reinforcing this status—and at the same time making it clear why FC Bayern will do everything in its power to keep this exceptional talent in Munich for the long term.
