Bayern powerless! Peretz wants to strike away from HSV

The tablecloth between Daniel Peretz and Hamburger SV has been cut in two. The Bayern keeper is determined to leave his loan spell at the club and has even started a strike – but HSV are refusing to budge

It could actually be quite simple: Daniel Peretz is not playing a sporting role at Hamburger SV and wants to end his loan spell in the Hanseatic city. Southampton FC have already found a buyer for the Israeli international goalkeeper. But HSV are blocking the departure of their replacement keeper. The reason: the Red Shorts want to find a replacement for Peretz before letting him go

As reported by BILD , Peretz is now resorting to extreme measures. The 25-year-old has started a strike in order to force his departure from Hamburg. He feels compelled to do so because FC Bayern has not included a clause in his contract that would allow him to terminate his loan prematurely. Peretz is effectively stuck in Hamburg and FC Bayern is powerless until HSV has found a suitable replacement

Bayern and Peretz want a new loan

Peretz originally moved to Hamburg with the expectation of gaining playing time and developing his skills. However, as he was unable to assert himself against regular keeper Daniel Heuer-Fernandes, he has had to sit on the bench in every single Bundesliga match so far. He only made appearances in the second round and the round of 16 of the DFB Cup – not enough to further his development

Peretz has now actually found a new club in Southampton FC as soon as HSV let him go. The English second division club has apparently also secured a purchase option for the Munich reserve goalkeeper. Peretz’s departure is therefore unlikely to take long. Those responsible in Hamburg have been aware of his desire to move for some time anyway. If an adequate replacement is found soon, the new loan should therefore be completed fairly quickly.
