According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have decided to activate a buy-back clause to re-sign 20-year-old Noel Aseko from Hannover 96.

The midfielder is reportedly set to return to Munich at the end of the season.

Hannover 96 had earlier taken up a purchase option to make his loan from Bayern permanent.

The plan is for Aseko to get the opportunity to show Vincent Kompany what he can do during pre-season.

His long-term future at Bayern remains uncertain, and a sale is still possible if a suitable offer arrives.

Aseko has been influential for Hannover this season, producing three goals and five assists in 25 2. Bundesliga appearances.
