Beatriz Cameirão has joined Sporting after terminating her Benfica contract by mutual consent, crossing the Segunda Circular in a swift switch. Her departure came last week, with the move confirmed days later.
According to Glorioso 1904, the midfielder has signed a three-season deal running until June 2029. She spent six years at Benfica, made 139 senior appearances and collected 11 trophies.
Her honours include four Ligas BPI, three Taças da Liga, two Taças de Portugal and one Supertaça. She also won the second division in the season of her official debut for Benfica.
Her résumé also includes 47 youth caps for Portugal.
On unveiling, Cameirão said she was delighted to be at the club, that Sporting’s interest quickly became reality and that she felt valued by the coaching staff who wanted her there.
She thanked Bárbara Paulino, the club’s women’s football director, for her work on the move and pledged to give her best for the shirt.
