Jornal de Notícias reports that PSP deputy superintendent João Soeima said a watch stolen from FC Porto centre-back Jan Bednarek in a burglary at his Foz home on 8 May has since been found in Miami, United States.

Soeima made the remark on Friday during a session on security in the jewellery sector at the 35th PortoJóia, citing the case to underline the international reach of such crime.

The officer, from Porto’s Criminal Investigation Division, pointed to the recovery as evidence of cross-border operations targeting high-value items.

He referred to Bednarek rather than the most recent case involving Deniz Gül, noting the pace and scope of these networks.

Bednarek has recently spoken about the break-in that affected him and his family.
