Beever-Jones nets hat-trick as Lionesses thrash Portugal

Aggie Beever-Jones bagged a brilliant first-half hat-trick as England completely outclassed Portugal in a 6-0 hammering at Wembley on Friday.
The Lionesses were on it from the off, running riot with five goals before the break.
Beever-Jones got things going in the third minute, finishing neatly from a tight angle.
Barely a minute and a half later, Lauren Hemp beat her marker and whipped in a cross, which ended up with Lucy Bronze nodding it in after Beth Mead’s effort was blocked.
England didn’t let up - Bronze turned provider this time, setting up her Chelsea team-mate Beever-Jones for her second in the 26th minute.
Beth Mead made it four not long after, and then Beever-Jones rounded off her first ever international hat-trick – all in her first start at Wembley.
After the break, Sarina Wiegman's side eased off a bit, but still found time for a sixth. Sub Chloe Kelly made her mark too, scoring just four minutes after coming on, heading in a spot-on cross from Mead.
The win puts England second in Group 3 of League A, with 10 points – two behind World Cup champs Spain, who smashed Belgium 5-1 earlier on Friday.
Next up, the Lionesses head to Barcelona on Tuesday, hoping to beat Spain and book their place in the Nations League finals.
