TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic is adamant Khulumani Ndamane deserves to make the final Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The 21-year-old defender has become a regular feature in the national team fold and was part of the squad that featured in the final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers earlier this month.

With the player rising to prominence, Beganovic waxed lyrical about his qualities on and off-the ball, tipping him to develop into a top level center-back in future.

“I think from the beginning when he arrived, like young players in our club, like Puso [Dithejane], like everybody else, from the beginning I said Khulumani is a special player,” said the Bosnian mentor.

"He has the ability, he is left-footed, he has a beautiful pass and he can break through the lines and I don't see so many players in this league who can do that. He is also good in the air and his long balls are almost perfect.

"I think it's a second season for him, I don't think he has 40 games in his career. I think as time goes, he can be better and better and he deserves to go to the best clubs in this league and be a top player.

The 42-year-old tactician went on to endorse Ndamane as one of the first names coach Hugo Broos must select for the continental showpiece, stating that he would start every game in the heart of defense.

“I think he deserves to go to the AFCON and I think he can easily play. He can start every game because now I think he has the quality and also you saw last game [vs Rwanda] he played 90 minutes,” Beganovic added.

"It was a very important game for Bafana Bafana and Bafana Bafana qualified for the World Cup. I think he deserves to be in the [World Cup] squad and I think he will also go to the AFCON.
