Belén Aquino has reached a notable landmark for Corinthians. In Monday’s 3-1 win over Cruzeiro at Canindé, the second leg of the Brasileirão Feminino quarter-finals, the Uruguayan forward made her 29th appearance to become the club’s third most-used foreign player.

According to Meu Timao, she moved past Colombian midfielder Lia Salazar, who finished with 28 outings. Salazar represented the side in 2022 and 2023, terminating her deal in March that year.

The list is led by Colombian forward Gisela Robledo on 65 matches. Venezuelan midfielder Dayana Rodríguez, a current squad member, sits second on 57.

In total, only seven overseas-born footballers have featured for Corinthians’ women. Beyond the top four, the cohort includes Colombian midfielder Paola García and Argentine defender Agustina Barroso, both currently in the group.

Goalkeeper Natascha Honegger and full-back Ivana Fuso are excluded from this count. Although born abroad, both hold dual nationality and are registered as Brazilian.

Emily Lima’s side now turn to the next stage of the national knockout competition. They meet Bahia in the semi-finals, with the first leg on 15 at Arena Fonte Nova and the return on 21 at Neo Química Arena.
