Belén Aquino joins Uruguay for the FIFA international break

The forward Belén Aquino, from Corinthians, joined the Uruguayan national team delegation this Sunday (01) for the international commitments of the FIFA Date. The Uruguayan team will play two friendly matches during this period.

Uruguay will face Ecuador twice. The first match is scheduled for Tuesday (03), at 5:00 PM (Brasília time), at the Estadio Arena CHUBB, in Ecuadorian territory. The teams will meet again on Saturday (07), at 2:15 PM (Brasília time), once more at the same stadium.

Belén Aquino joined Corinthians this season and has already played several times for the Brabas. The forward participated in the team's campaign in the FIFA Champions Cup, a competition in which the São Paulo club finished as runners-up after losing to Arsenal, from England, in the final. Additionally, the player continues to be frequently used by the team in the club's most recent matches.

During the break for national team games, Corinthians has a total of ten players called up. Midfielder Dayana Rodríguez is available for the Venezuelan national team, while Gisela Robledo was called up by the Colombian national team. Another seven players from the alvinegro squad were called to represent the Brazilian National Team.

Last Friday (28), Corinthians players participated in Brazil's victory over Costa Rica by 5 x 2. Among them were Thais Ferreira, Tamires, Duda Sampaio, and Jaqueline, who started the match as starters, while Gabi Zanotti and Ana Vitória entered the field in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Brabas squad, now led by coach Emily Lima, continues preparations in São Paulo's capital for the remainder of the season. Corinthians' next commitment will be the classic against Palmeiras, on March 13, at 9:30 PM (Brasília time), at Arena Barueri, for the third round of the Brazilian Women's Championship.
