Real Madrid will face off against Girona at the Estadi Montilivi this Sunday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in La Liga. Los Blancos managed to secure a hard-fought 4-3 win over Olympiacos recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going this weekend.
Xabi Alonso will opt for the 4-1-4-1 formation once again and is expected to make a couple of tweaks to his first XI for this game. Both Jude Bellingham and Thibaut Courtois could play from the start of this contest.
Thibaut Courtois will function in between the sticks for Los Blancos after being rested in midweek. Aurelien Tchouameni will operate alongside Raul Asencio at the centre of the Real Madrid backline as they look to keep a good shape at the back during the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Alvaro Carreras hopes to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Eduardo Camavinga could get a chance to impress as the defensive midfielder for Los Blancos this weekend. Both Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde will play just ahead of him as the box-to-box midfielders. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Vinicius Jr. will try to impress as the left-sided wide player while Arda Guler looks to make a difference as the right-winger. Both of them will try to get in behind the Girona backline at every chance they get.
Dani Ceballos and Brahim Diaz will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Kylian Mbappe will spearhead Real Madrid’s attack up top. He scored all four of his team’s goals against Olympiacos, so we can expect his confidence to be sky high going into this game.
Rodrygo and Gonzalo Garcia will make up the numbers on the bench.
