Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has once again expressed his commitment to the club, stating that he sees his future at the Santiago Bernabeu for the next 10 to 15 years.

This statement comes as he prepares to face Liverpool, a team that was one of the many clubs that Real Madrid beat to secure his signature last year.

“I’m very happy at Madrid. I think the next 10 or 15 years will be white for me,” he told TNT Sport.

Bellingham’s return to Liverpool holds special significance for him. It marks a chance to play in his home country once again, similar to the occasion last season when he faced Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League.

While there may not be a direct connection between Bellingham and the current Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp, had been very vocal about his admiration for the midfielder.

Klopp had made no secret of the fact that Bellingham was one of his top targets in the months leading up to the summer transfer window of 2023.

Interestingly, despite Liverpool’s best efforts, it was Real Madrid who secured the deal, with the financial terms and Bellingham’s personal preference playing a key role in his decision.

At the time, Liverpool had ultimately pulled out of the bidding war for Bellingham, stating that they were unwilling to pay more than €100 million for the player.

“When Real Madrid knock on the door, it shakes the whole house,” added the midfielder.

“My move to Liverpool was not as close as the media made out. I don’t want to say anything disrespectful, but when Real Madrid arrive… it’s different level.”

However, the final deal with Borussia Dortmund exceeded that amount, with Real Madrid paying a fixed €103 million, with additional performance-related bonuses potentially bringing the total to €133.9 million.

Despite the financial challenges for Liverpool, the main factor in Bellingham’s move to Madrid was his clear desire to join the Spanish giants.

He has repeatedly affirmed his happiness with the club and has now committed to being part of Real Madrid for the long term.

As Bellingham continues to impress on the pitch, his future with the club seems secure, and it is clear that he believes his best years will be spent wearing the famous white shirt of Real Madrid.
