Benfica and Roma are monitoring 19-year-old Polish forward Marcel Regula at Zaglebie Lubin, the Polish league leaders. His form this season has drawn interest from several European clubs.
Zaglebie president Pawel Jez said: "Regula has everything needed to succeed. After that, it is hard to influence what happens to the player," he told TVP Sport.
Jez added: "We want to back him, give him a chance and then profit from his sale. Roma and Benfica are watching Marcel. Should a concrete offer arrive, we would let him go to Portugal."
He is regarded as one of Poland's leading prospects. Benfica are following him closely, assessing his technical profile and long-term potential, while Zaglebie remain open to proposals.
A Zaglebie academy graduate, Regula is in his second season with the first team. The youth international has five goals and two assists in 23 games this season. He is under contract until June 2028 and valued at five million euros.
