Benfica have confirmed Friday's friendly with Belenenses at Estádio da Luz will be open to supporters, not behind closed doors. The club said ticket sales would start on Wednesday.

Sales open at 10:00 for Red Pass holders, then from 15:00 they extend to other members, supporters and the general public.

The clarification followed Belenenses stating the game would be held behind closed doors with a broadcast on BTV, a message that left fans unsure.

There had also been consideration of using this fixture to serve the punishment imposed by the Authority for the Prevention and the Combat of Violence in Sport, a decision already upheld by the Tribunal da Relação with no right of appeal. The decision to admit supporters means that option has been set aside.

The match forms another step in pre-season for Marco Silva's side, with the staff looking to consolidate work and hand minutes to players who do not feature against St. Gallen on Thursday.
