Benfica are not ruling out a deal for Dodi Lukebakio to leave this window, and have identified Sergio Arribas as a potential successor. The 23-year-old Spaniard scored 26 goals in 2025/26.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Almería attacker is well regarded at the club and a move could be pursued if the Belgian winger departs. Lukebakio is said to want to remain, but negotiations are not being excluded.

Arribas mainly operates on the right, but he can also play as an attacking midfielder. Marco Silva has acknowledged the latter role is short of options, so the Spaniard could cover two positions.

No formal offer has been lodged with Almería. The Spanish club are thought to seek around 20 million euros, while Arribas is under contract to 2029 with a 40 million euro release clause.

Benfica are keeping two names in play to strengthen the squad. Any deals will be directly linked to creating space and, above all, raising funds from the departures of Richard Ríos and Lukebakio.
