Nicolás Otamendi and Vangelis Pavlidis have been named in the top 10 for minutes played in Europe over the past 12 months, according to CIES Football Observatory’s latest study.

Otamendi ranks second with 5,702 minutes for club and Argentina, underscoring his status as a mainstay for Benfica and his country. Pavlidis sits eighth on 5,361 minutes, reflecting his influence in Benfica’s attack.

Hans Vanaken of Club Brugge tops the list with 5,745 minutes. Vitinha, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, is third on 5,619. Former Benfica man Enzo Fernández is 10th with 5,310.

The remaining top 10 includes Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool, Milan Skriniar of Fenerbahçe, Marc Cucurella of Chelsea, Brandon Mechele of Club Brugge and Nicolas Raskin of Rangers.

Benfica’s schedule tightens further, as they host Porto on Sunday 8 March in Liga Portugal Betclic matchday 25. The game is set for 18:00 at Estádio da Luz against the side coached by Francesco Farioli.
