Benfica SAD has increased the size of its 2026-2031 bond to 65 million euros, setting out its latest funding plans.
The club said in a statement that the CMVM approved an addendum to the prospectus, lifting the initial 40 million euro offer to 65 million euros, with a fixed gross interest rate of 4.65 per cent a year.
The total nominal value exceeds the 50 million bond maturing on 17 May 2026 and is the largest amount the company has ever offered for subscription.
Assuming the issue is completed at nominal value, net debt at the end of 2025/26 is projected to remain in line with the last two financial years.
The subscription window for the Benfica SAD 2026-2031 bonds runs until 24 April 2026, inclusive. The public subscription and exchange offers initially covered up to 8 million securities with a unit nominal value of 5 euros and an overall ceiling of 40 million euros.
