Benfica are tracking 19-year-old Ipswich Town winger Sindre Walle Egeli, with Ajax also in the frame. Voetbal Primeur reports the pair are currently best placed to move for the Norwegian, who is playing in England's second tier.

Left-footed and attack minded, Walle Egeli is viewed as technically sharp with the ability to unsettle defences. He stands at about 182 centimetres, similar in stature to Andreas Schjelderup, and the pair overlapped at Nordsjaelland in 2023/24.

Before moving to England, he had been linked with PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord, but opted to join Ipswich Town last summer for around €20 million.

In 2025/26 he has made 25 appearances for Ipswich Town, scoring three goals and providing two assists across 2,019 minutes. He is valued at €18 million.

Any move for the 19-year-old could run into the millions.
