It was a night to remember for everybody inside of the EstĂĄdio da Luz for Benfica's dramatic win over Real Madrid in the Champions League.Â
But most notably, it will live long in the mind of Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, who popped up with stoppage-time goal to send his side into the knockout phase of the competition, sparking some of the best celebrations you'll get to see in football this season.Â
Heading into the last-minute free-kick on the edge of the Real Madrid box, the hosts needed to score to leap-frog Marseille into the top-24 of the competition â and up stepped the unlikely hero Anatoliy Trubin.
His header and the wild scenes that came after saw the Ukrainian become just the fifth different goalkeeper to score in the Champions League all-time.
No matter what you may feel about the competition's new format, the 18 simultaneous kick-offs to close out the league phase provided us with some fantastic drama.Â
But Trubin's historic strike certainly takes the cake.Â
