Benfica’s SAD is now Portugal’s most valuable, assessed at 581.23 million euros and dislodging Sporting from top spot.
According to Glorioso 1904, Porto stand second on 513.63 million euros, with Sporting third on 493.12 million, figures derived from Brands Capital Sports’ latest model.
The study newly factors in the eligible value of B teams, the contract status of first-team players including expiring deals, renewals and loans, and the most recent financial results disclosed by the clubs.
The September edition applies a common cut-off, using information available up to 23:59 on four September 2026, and aims to give a fuller picture of each SAD’s ability to create and sustain value over time.
The valuation reflects each company’s overall worth, not a sporting table nor a simple ranking by players’ market values. The revised approach has favoured Benfica, putting the Clube da Luz on a figure close to 600 million euros.
