Benfica have sealed a deal to sign Angolan international Anderson Fortes, 22, from Leões Porto Salvo for next season. According to Glorioso 1904, the winger will cost around 75,000 euros and is set to agree a long-term contract.

Fortes remains under contract with Leões Porto Salvo until June 2027, but is poised to step up to one of Portugal's title contenders. Leões Porto Salvo finished fourth in the Portuguese league last season.

He featured in 32 matches last term and scored 11 goals, continuing the rise he has shown since joining Leões Porto Salvo in 2022/23. Before moving to Portugal, he began in 11-a-side football in Angola, then switched to futsal, a decision that accelerated his development.

The move comes in response to Diego Nunes leaving Benfica, a departure the club confirmed recently. The Brazil international has returned to Palma, closing a four-season spell with the Eagles.

Nunes arrived in Portugal in 2022 from the same Spanish club, where he had spent five seasons. Since then he made 146 official appearances for Benfica and scored 78 goals.
