Benfica sign Anna Csiki from Tottenham on deal to 2028 with option | OneFootball

Benfica have announced the signing of Hungarian international Anna Csiki from Tottenham, the midfielder agreeing a contract until 2028 with an option of a further year.

"I am very happy. As soon as I learned Benfica were interested, I was very excited to come here. I cannot wait to start and I hope to win many trophies with this club," she told BTV.

The 26-year-old now starts a new chapter in Portugal after ending last season on loan at Roma.

In Italy she finished 2025/26 with two trophies, helping Roma win the league and the Coppa Italia, and she started the final of the latter against Juventus.

Capped 36 times by Hungary, she also reflected on compatriot Miki Féher, who represented Benfica between 2002 and 2004 before his tragic death on the pitch, saying, "He remains a huge name, a great legend in Hungary". She came through at Ferencváros.

Csiki will wear shirt number 14. "I am very excited to be here, I cannot wait to meet everyone, and I hope we can celebrate together after every win".
