Benfica sign Brazil international Cléber Souza on deal until 2028 | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica’s futsal team have signed Brazil international Cléber Souza, 29, from Al-Qadisiyah on a contract running until 2028.

The winger joins the two-time national champions in Cassiano Klein’s squad after two seasons in Saudi Arabia, having previously featured for Palma Futsal.

While with Palma, he won the UEFA Futsal Champions League twice, in 2022/23 and 2023/24.

Last season at Al-Qadisiyah he scored 66 goals in 29 matches, a prolific return that placed him among the most productive in his position and drew Benfica’s interest.

Before the move to Saudi Arabia, he also played in Spain for Real Betis, adding to a résumé built across different leagues.

His arrival offers Klein another option and marks a new chapter with the champions, with the player having also attracted attention from Barcelona.
