Benfica are weighing Mohamed Amoura as an option to bolster their forward line, with the 26-year-old Algerian expected to leave Wolfsburg after relegation and keen to remain at the highest level.
According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica are among the clubs tracking Amoura, alongside Stuttgart and Everton, with interest persisting despite recent injury issues.
Amoura was on Benfica’s shortlist last summer when the Lisbon club made a 28 million euros bid. Wolfsburg rejected that offer, seeking around 40 million euros.
Despite fitness setbacks, he underlined his quality in 2025/26, featuring in 32 Bundesliga matches, scoring seven goals and supplying three assists as a key attacking outlet.
With Wolfsburg now in the second tier, an exit appears increasingly likely and Benfica have re-emerged as a potential destination. The forward has one Algeria World Cup appearance, a 3-0 defeat to Argentina.
