A Bola reports that Benfica are seeking to offload Bruma, who does not figure in Marco Silva's plans, and could explore an amicable contract termination.

The winger, 31, has yet to find a destination with the international market virtually closed. Persistent fitness issues, a high salary and the six and a half million euros paid for his transfer are complicating any move.

Marco Silva has made the call on strictly technical grounds, with ample options out wide. The club have tried a sale or loan, but talks have not progressed.

With options narrowing, Benfica could attempt to agree a mutual termination, which would require Bruma's consent and suitable guarantees.

Signed from Braga in January 2025, Bruma is under contract until June 2028, leaving two seasons to run. He may seek to recoup the remaining value, which would further complicate negotiations.
