Benfica are pushing to land Jakub Kaminski from Cologne, with talks said to be advanced and a deal possible in the coming days. Meczyki reports that any move could cost about 20 million euros, the value of a release clause that applies in the first half of this month and is set to rise.

Express first highlighted Benfica’s interest, adding that Brightno and Leipzig have been monitoring the Poland international.

Benfica are prioritising a left-sided attacker and aim to have him involved with Marco Silva’s group by the end of the week.

Cologne made Kaminski’s switch permanent earlier this summer for around five and a half million euros following a loan.

In 2025/26 he featured in 36 competitive matches, scoring seven and supplying three assists. He can operate across the front line, but is at his best on the left for club and country.
