Benfica are tracking Nathan De Cat, the 17-year-old Anderlecht midfielder.

According to Glorioso 1904, the club have followed him closely for months and staff are impressed by his above-average tactical maturity, creativity and reading of the game. Consistent performances have strengthened the view he could add quality to José Mourinho’s midfield.

He is valued at 25 million euros, which makes any deal complex. Competition is significant, with several European clubs monitoring what is considered one of world football’s leading prospects.

Despite the obstacles, Benfica continue to track his progress, mindful of the potential impact if he were to arrive. A centre-back and a winger are current priorities, while a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker are also under review. Raphael Guerreiro is another target.
