Benfica's penultimate league meeting with Braga at the Estádio da Luz is expected to be moved to Monday night in the 33rd round, with scheduling shaped by the visitors' European commitments and mandatory rest rules.
According to Glorioso 1904, Liga Portugal will confirm on Tuesday 5 May the kick-off times for the 33rd round, and indications are that seven fixtures will take place on Monday at 20:15. That scenario would see Benfica host Braga in that slot.
Braga play on Thursday in the Europa League semi-finals. Competition regulations require a minimum 72-hour recovery period, which Braga have not waived, pushing the league meeting into the start of the week.
Given the stakes at this stage of the season, several matches are expected to be staged simultaneously. In particular, the battle for second place means decisive games must kick off at the same time.
Only two fixtures are likely to be played on Sunday. Attention is set to focus on the Luz on Monday, when Benfica are due to face Braga in Liga Portugal Betclic.
