Benfica host Moreirense in Liga Portugal on Saturday, 25 April 2026 at da Luz, with the hosts pushing leaders Porto while the visitors look to firm up a top half finish.
Benfica are unbeaten in the league and won 4-0 away at Moreirense in December. The head to head leans heavily their way across recent meetings, adding weight to home favouritism here.
Form backs that up. The Águias have taken four wins and a draw from their last five league games, including victory at Sporting CP. Moreirense arrive off a home win over Estoril, but that followed three defeats and a draw.
José Mourinho is without midfielders Nuno Felix and João Veloso through injury. Moreirense have no listed absences.
The Encarnados have combined a sharp attack with a miserly defence this season, scoring 63 and conceding 19 with 14 clean sheets. Evangelos Pavlidis is second in the league scoring chart on 21 and could again lead the line. Moreirense have created regularly from wide areas, with Dinis Pinto on six league assists and Alan on five, so service from those channels may be their route.
A win would move Benfica to 75 points and could tighten the title race. Moreirense, on 39 points in seventh, would reach 42 with victory and strengthen their grip on the top half.
