Roma is stepping up its efforts to secure Richard Rios and is undaunted by the fierce competition from Nottingham Forest and Benfica.

The Giallorossi are attempting to outdo the competition by submitting a concrete offer to meet Palmeiras’s financial demands, which have set the price at €30 million.

However, at the moment, Benfica are absolutely not in the running for Rios as the costs are too high, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

Roma is still interested in the player, but there have been no moves today.

The Giallorossi will have to raise their offer to Palmeiras if they want to land the Colombian midfielder.
