Benfica goalkeeper André Correia is unhappy after being left out of Jorge Braz’s final Portugal squad for the European Championship.

According to Glorioso 1904, he voiced his disappointment to team-mates and feels he had done enough to be among the goalkeepers selected, with Portugal about to begin their campaign as title contenders.

Braz instead chose Edu Sousa, who plays in Murcia, Spain, and Bernardo Paçó, the Sporting starter, for the position.

Silvestre Ferreira was also omitted. Benfica will still have five players at the finals, namely André Coelho, Afonso Jesus, Lúcio Rocha, Pany Varela and Kutchy.

Correia, 27, has been a regular pick for Cassiano Klein this season. He has made 13 appearances, six in the Liga Placard, five in the Champions League, one in the League Cup and one in the Super Cup, and has provided two assists.
