Davi de Andrade Lima, a 17-year-old Brazilian defender, has arrived in Lisbon to advance a move to Benfica. According to Glorioso 1904, he is in the city to continue the registration process with the club.

The youngster has been playing for Itaquaquecetuba Athletico and recently stood out at the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, widely regarded in Brazil as a prime shop window for youth talent.

Across the tournament he produced consistent displays, logged valuable minutes and supplied two assists, which drew interest from several Portuguese sides who followed the event on site.

Despite that competition, Benfica moved to the front by showing greater resolve and efficiency in talks. He will now complete the necessary formalities, though a permanent switch to Seixal will only come after he turns 18.

Full integration into Benfica’s set-up is therefore scheduled for 2027, when he reaches adulthood.
