Benfica’s Gaby Vanelli earns Italy call for EURO 2027 futsal Elite Round | OneFootball

Benfica women’s futsal pivot Gaby Vanelli has been called up by Italy for the Elite Round of qualifying for EURO 2027.

According to Glorioso 1904, the decisive stage of qualifying will run from 14 to 21 March 2027 in Osijek, Croatia.

Before that, Italy must navigate a demanding Group 3 with hosts Slovenia, plus France and Spain. Spain start as favourites, having won the past three editions of the Women’s Futsal EURO.

Italy open on 7 October against Slovenia in Laško at 19:00. They face Spain the following day at 16:30, then finish the group on 10 October against France at 15:00.

The four group winners and the two best runners-up will qualify directly for the finals. The remaining two second-placed teams will contest a November play-off for the final berth.
