Benfica full-back Sidny Cabral drew anger from supporters after asking Vinicius Jr. for his shirt at the end of the match in Madrid.

Record writes that the Cape Verde international was surprised by the backlash and is said to have apologised to team-mates, deciding not to keep Vinicius Jr.’s shirt.

Supporters quickly criticised him on social media, and one of the posts attracted a like from Gianluca Prestianni.

Some fans argued the timing and setting were ill judged, given the spotlight on the fixture after Vinicius said he had heard racist insults from Prestianni, who missed the Madrid game through suspension.

Benfica have returned from the Spanish capital and now focus on Gil Vicente on Monday, 2 March in Barcelos. José Mourinho will deliver his pre-match preview on 1 March at 10:00 before the trip north.
