Benin U20 Amazons crush WAC Casablanca in friendly
As part of their preparations for the third round of qualifiers for the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup Poland 2026, Benin's Amazons delivered a dominant friendly performance on Monday evening against WAC Casablanca's U20 side, securing a resounding 4-0 victory.
Romaine Gandonou opened the scoring before halftime and added a second to complete her brace (15th and 45th minutes). Djibril Yasminath (25th) and Germaine Honfo (50th) rounded out the offensive showcase, underlining the Beninese side's superiority in this encounter.
The technical staff, led by Abdoulaye Ouzérou, expressed satisfaction with the team's collective commitment and tactical discipline, while noting a few adjustments to be made. The Amazons will now set their sights on Cairo, where they will face Egypt U20—the next step on their road to the World Cup.
