Tottenham Hotspur will entertain Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look to secure all three points in the Premier League season opener. Spurs suffered a loss on penalties against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup final recently, so they would be eager to bounce back this weekend.
Thomas Frank will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a couple of tweaks to his first XI for this game. Both Lucas Bergball and Brennan Johnson could get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
Guglielmo Vicario will feature in between the sticks for the North London club after he allowed a couple of goals in his last outing. Micky van de Ven will function alongside Cristian Romero at the centre of the Tottenham defence as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated during the game.
Pedro Porro will once again fill in as the right-back, while Djed Spence hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Kevin Danso and Ben Davies will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Bergvall will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles in the middle of the park. The gifted trio of Brennan Johnson, Pape Matar Sarr and Mohammed Kudus will play just ahead of them as part of Frank’s attack.
Joao Palhinha and Archie Gray will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
Richarlison will spearhead Tottenham’s attack in the final third. He has to find a way to be a constant menace up top.
Dominic Solanke and Mathys Tel will have to be content with a place on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the North London club are in need of a goal by then.
