Bernardo Silva is out of contract this summer and is set to be available on a free. With Barcelona’s finances in better order, a move now appears more feasible.

A Bola reports that the veteran has informed Manchester City of his intention to leave at the end of the season. The outlet adds that Barcelona is his long-held priority and that Jorge Mendes has opened talks with the Catalan club. It seems he is keen to take on a new challenge after nine years at the Etihad.

Marca states that Barcelona have no intention of signing Silva as things stand. They are said to be well stocked in midfield, and the number 10 role that may suit him is occupied by Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo.

Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer a three-year contract worth €7-8m per season.

The 32-year-old is also expected to have options in Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer, with Inter Miami interested. Atletico Madrid have been linked only briefly, and Galatasaray in Türkiye is another possible destination.
