Beşiktaş submit €10m offer for Augsburg prospect Mert Kömür, several other clubs interested in Germany U21 international | OneFootball

Florian Plettenberg is currently reporting that Augsburg have been presented with a shock €10m offer from Beşiktaş for rising German talent Mert Kömür. As the January 2026 transfer window prepares to come to a close Kömür’s Bundesliga outfit faces a tough decision. Will they let one of their most promising players go? 

Augsburg likely to ask more for Mert Kömür

Given Kömür’s major significance for both club and country, it’s unlikely that either Augsburg or Kömür will entertain the notion of a switch unless more money is involved. Kömür maintains an estimated market value of €12m in the latest Transfermarkt listings and is comfortable with club he’s been working at since 2019. 

Kömür only just signed a contract extension with the Bavarian Swabians this past summer. The 20-year-old Dachau-native has also spent his entire professional career in Bavaria. Plettenberg nevertheless notes that St. Pauli and Serie A sides are also interested in Kömür. The youngster may still be on the move before the window closes.
