Nottingham Forest are said to be exploring a swap element in any move for Tammy Abraham, with Aston Villa also in the frame this month.
Fanatik reports that Besiktas are continuing talks with both clubs. The report adds that Forest proposed a swap involving Chris Wood that was rejected, before Besiktas countered by asking about Taiwo Awoniyi.
Abraham joined Besiktas on loan from Roma last summer, and it is understood a 13m euros option to buy has been triggered. Any agreement for the striker would therefore need to be struck with Besiktas.
Besiktas president Serdal Adalı said last week there is an offer for Abraham but the club do not favour his departure. He also noted another English side is interested and that they would consider any proposal including players, with their staff identifying targets at Villa.
Awoniyi is said to prefer a potential move to Germany. Although he is out of favour at the City Ground, the suggestion of including Wood appears highly questionable given his extended knee surgery lay-off. He was also the club’s top scorer last season.
