Jota Silva faces an uncertain summer as his Besiktas loan nears its end, with a decision on a purchase option looming.

According to Fanatik, Besiktas do not intend to activate the €17m (£15m) purchase clause and the winger will leave after the season, with a replacement targeted.

Minutes have been limited in Istanbul, as at the City Ground. He has made 14 league appearances for Besiktas, with all but four from the bench.

Silva joined Forest in summer 2024 for an initial £6m, making 37 appearances and scoring four before heading out on loan. A switch to Sporting Lisbon was close last summer, 12 months after his move from Vitoria Guimaraes, but it fell through when paperwork was not completed in time.

Forest strengthened out wide last summer, recruiting Dan Ndoye, Omari Hutchinson and Dilane Bakwa. The trio have had mixed fortunes this term.

A squad reshuffle is anticipated when the window opens, regardless of whether Forest stay up or drop into the Championship.

With six games to go, Vitor Pereira’s squad remain in the Premier League relegation fight. They are also in the Europa League quarter-finals and face Porto on Thursday at 8pm in a second leg level at 1-1.
