Flamengo will face Benfica in a friendly during the World Cup pause, but the Lisbon side could be without Vangelis Pavlidis.
According to Yeni Asir, Besiktas of Türkiye are preparing a €20 million bid, about R$116.8 million at the current rate, for the Greek striker.
Benfica are not minded to accept that figure and are seeking more, with the club currently valuing Pavlidis at €50 million, roughly R$292 million. The report added that the Turkish club remain optimistic, given Benfica did not qualify for the next Champions League.
Pavlidis is viewed as Benfica’s key player after scoring 30 goals and providing five assists in 53 appearances for the Portuguese side in the 2025/26 season.
The friendly is scheduled for 11 July in the Algarve, Portugal.
