Rangers secured a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Under an electrifying atmosphere at Ibrox, the Gers produced arguably one of their best performances of the season.
Manager Philippe Clement said after the match that his players were disappointed with the result, which shows that the team is finally heading in the right direction.
Rangers captain James Tavernier whipped in a magnificent delivery for Hamza Igamane to volley home.
Vaclav Cerny was a constant threat on the wings, while Cyriel Dessers should have scored to kill the game off in the closing stages.
The Scottish Daily Mail was heavily impressed by Nicolas Raskin, awarding him an 8/10 rating.
The newspaper wrote: “Another dynamic, hard-working display in which he covered every blade of the grass. Played his heart out.”
The Belgian midfielder won six duels and completed 91 percent of passes.
He made three clearances, four interceptions and four tackles and blocked one shot to cap an excellent performance, as per Sofascore.
However, statistics probably won’t justify how good he was on the night.
His calm presence amidst the cauldron, his movements on and off the ball and his desire to dominate the midfield were a joy to behold.
Rangers have been unbeaten in all competitions in the last nine games, and they are gradually improving under Clement.
They will play Celtic at Hampden Park in the Scottish League Cup in another high-voltage game on Sunday.
