The 2025 season delivered marquee signings and late masterstrokes across Brazil. According to Globo.com, here are the standout arrivals, with readers invited to vote for the best.

Flamengo replaced Gerson by recruiting Jorginho from Europe, and the Italo-Brazilian quickly became a starter for the Brazilian and Libertadores champions, excelling from penalties. He played 35 games, scoring five with three assists. Jorge Carrascal arrived as cover for Arrascaeta but earned a starting role, sparking the move for the 1-0 semi-final first-leg win over Racing.

Danilo, announced in late January, added four trophies, the Carioca, Supercopa do Brasil, Brasileirão and Libertadores, and struck the decisive goal in the continental final against Palmeiras. He finished with five goals in 36 appearances.

Palmeiras spent R$ 154 million on Vitor Roque, who overcame a slow start to net 20 goals alongside Flaco Lopez and earn a Brazil recall. Christian left relegated Athletico for Cruzeiro and became a mainstay for the third-placed side, logging 47 games with five goals and four assists. Academy product Fabrício Bruno returned and led from the back, earning Brazil call-ups and a start under Carlo Ancelotti.

Fluminense’s Lucho Acosta, signed in the second window for R$ 22 million, pulled strings in their late surge under Zubeldía, with three goals and three assists in 23 games. Botafogo’s 18-year-old Montoro arrived in June for the Club World Cup and blossomed late, posting three goals and two assists in his final 10 outings.

For Bahia, Willian José shook off a quiet start to produce a career-best 27 goal involvements, finishing as 2025 top scorer with 20. Atlético-MG paid R$ 36 million for Cuello, who delivered six goals and six assists in 41 games before missing the run-in, a blow felt in the lost Sudamericana final.

At Grêmio, Carlos Vinícius hit 12 in 14 to end as vice-top scorer behind Braithwaite’s 15 in 35. Vasco loanee Andrés Gómez impressed with one goal and seven assists across 21 games in a Copa do Brasil runner-up campaign. Internacional’s Johan Carbonero, on loan from Racing, scored five with two assists in Série A to help avoid relegation, prompting the club to fund a permanent move for 2026.
