ABC reports that Betis officials travelled to Germany in recent days to discuss a possible deal with Borussia Dortmund. Betis have admired the Portuguese forward for a long time and asked about him in the winter window, as did Sevilla.

Betis are exploring a loan with an option to buy that remains within their means. Competition is strong, with Real Sociedad well placed, and other striker options are also on Betis’s list, some currently ahead.
